I never call COVID-19 Corona.
2020 later,many Japanese people call COVID-19 “CORONA”.
I live in Japan and never say that.Because CORONA is a company name or a product’s.
How are you doing? This is KIJI,web engineer.
So,I almost say “SHIN-CORO” it’s written “新コロ”.
Sometimes people don’t understand that,”What is SHIN-CORO?”
The given name CORONA permeated Japan.
Anyway I don’t like it and abbreviations.
In Japan HP means Homepage.It means website.
For me HP is Hewlett Packard.
Other,Mac means McDONALD’S.
For me Mac is a computer Mac,Apple’s products.
Languages is alive,so I explain carefully and listen what people mean.
Recently AI services are coming.
It maybe make new words,new jobs and new worlds.
