For the first time I watched Noh at Tokyo.
Especially big hand-drum fascinated me.Because voices from the performer,for example “YOO”, make the flow of the play changed immediately. Of course small hand-dram and stick drum,too.
Big hand-drum called Ootsuzumi in Japan,the performer’s voice is low.I understood it like bass guitar of rock band.

Instrumental and chant lover must get side seat.
I like instrumentals and songs very much,so seated diagonal position this time. And could listen to sounds of them and enjoyed.
Before the play began,I read the story in English and Japanese.So could watched easily.
Many Japanese people feel Now very difficult and me neither.But this experience made me fun and wanted to watch more.
After the play I put Noh Mask on my face and moved so much. Because visibility is about 2% of usual.
Almost I can see nothing.
